Gobierno Municipal, organizaciones civiles y PPG renuevan instalaciones del COBAQ plantel 10
- La intervención de los espacios beneficia a mil 934 estudiantes de la institución educativa, con instalaciones renovadas en color e imagen.
- Se utilizaron mil 544 de litros de pintura donados por PPG a la institución educativa, destacando el uso de productos con ventaja sustentable.
En beneficio de mil 934 estudiantes del Colegio Bachilleres del Estado de Querétaro (COBAQ) plantel 10, San Pedro Ahuacatlán, la Dirección Municipal de la Juventud, en equipo con la empresa PPG -fabricante mundial de pinturas, revestimientos y materiales especiales-, y Fundación EDUCA, llevaron a cabo una intervención en espacios de dicho centro educativo, el cual ahora cuenta con instalaciones renovadas en color e imagen.
El director Municipal de la Juventud, Luis Alberto Galván Hernández, resaltó que la juventud de San Juan del Río es participativa y se involucra en los temas de interés para la comunidad. Destacó que, de la mano del gobierno y de las empresas, las juventudes pueden lograr beneficios importantes para la demarcación.
“Agradecer a las y los estudiantes que nos acompañan el día de hoy, a los padres de familia, al personal docente, administrativo, por supuesto a las y los voluntarios que nos acompañan, quienes están regalando lo más preciado que tenemos, que es nuestro tiempo, y que el día de hoy decidieron despertarse y apoyar a esta institución educativa”, refirió Luis Alberto Galván.
Para esta rehabilitación, se utilizaron mil 544 de litros de pintura donados por PPG a la institución educativa, destacando el uso de productos con ventaja sustentable de Comex. La empresa, a través de su iniciativa New Paint for a New Start, que forma parte del programa de responsabilidad social global Colorful Communities, busca la transformación de espacios comunitarios para el bienestar social, fomentando el aprendizaje y desarrollo de la infancia y juventud, a través del color.
“Colorful Communities de PPG es un programa transformador para todas las escuelas que apoyamos. Los estudiantes que asisten a las escuelas que Fundación EDUCA apoya, provienen de contextos de gran vulnerabilidad, son poco vistos y reconocidos. PPG los ve, los reconoce y los hace sentir queridos con este proyecto. Significa su segundo hogar, que es la escuela”, comentó Andrea Flamand, directora de Procuración de Fondos de Fundación EDUCA.
La intervención contó con la participación de 110 voluntarios, entre ellos empleados de la empresa de pinturas y revestimientos, así como personas ligadas a la fundación, quienes intervinieron las jardineras, rampas para personas con discapacidad, cafetería, salones exteriores, además de la realización de un mural de 600 metros cuadrados con temática de la mariposa monarca.
PPG ha realizado más de 500 proyectos de Colorful Communities en 50 países alrededor del mundo, con los cuales ha logrado un impacto positivo en más de 8.2 millones de personas, desde el 2015, refrendando su compromiso con acciones que beneficien a la gente y su entorno.
